A crossmember forms an important part of your car’s structural system, helping to keep your journeys comfortable and safe.
A cross member (or crossmember) is a vital structural component of a car, normally made of steel and bolted across the underside of the vehicle. As well as supporting the engine and transmission of the car and keeping body panels aligned, it aids the suspension system by maintaining stability. Cross members are built to last but can become corroded and bent over time, or be damaged in accidents. If your cross member shows any signs of wear, you should get it inspected as soon as possible and replaced if necessary.
